Hey gals and fellas, I want to extend a heartfelt welcome to my site. Quit With Jim has been born out of a multifaceted set of events. To start with, I’m focusing on articles, reviews, and resources to support those who are looking to give up e-cigs. And that’s what you’ll find in the pages of this site.
In the spirit of full disclaimer, I hope to help support the cost of running this web page with sponsored ads or through commissions from recommended products. Spreading the word that you don’t have to be a slave to addiction is not exactly free, so when it’s appropriate, you’ll find that I use a referral link if the cessation solution I recommend is well vetted and agrees to extend a referral program to me.
Sure, there are other addictions that may need to be ‘quit’, and one day I may even tackle some of those in future articles. But vaping hits close to home for me.
My uncle died of smoking-induced emphysema several years back, before vaping became a viable smoking cessation treatment, much less reached the recreational popularity it is enjoying today. And several people close to me are in various states of either health degradation from years of smoking, or are on a path toward quitting before it’s too late.
The problem is now that people who used vaping to quit smoking are still stuck with a nicotine and ritual addiction that, for some of them, controls their lives. Between that, and constantly running across Reddit conversations about trying to continue toward the path of complete freedom, I’ve decided to put this resource together to hopefully help you get the answers you need for quitting.
See, the market for vaping is currently quite under-regulated, the hazards are fuzzy and still being researched (picture the cigarette market back in the 40s!), and treatments for those who need help stopping are few and far between. I’ve talked with many places who offer cessation treatments to get their thoughts on the vaping addiction situation, and with many hours of other research have put together the resources on this site for you.
So without further ado, why don’t you start your exploration with one of the resources listed below:
